Prewedding in Chamonix
A few months ago, a good friend photographer, Stéphane, asked me if I were available to shoot a prewedding in Chamonix together. I remember this place when I was very young, as my grandfather used to live there for a long time, and the scenery of the mountains have always surprised me very much. “Of course, I will go with you my friend”…
Eight hours of car later, we were meeting the couple. Originally from Taiwan, they wanted to do their prewedding in France, but to get off the beaten track. Paris and the Eiffel tower is a nice playground for foreigners, but they chose the mountain. And I can only agree this perfect choice.
Mountain is unpredictable, and that’s why is magical. We had some crazy plans of going at the top of a mountain, sleeping in a shelter and make some wonderful shots in the early morning at sunrise. Weather decided differently, and we got stuck in a storm.
Plan B. It’s always good to have one, or to be able to improvise very quickly in this type of situation. Thanks God (and Wikipedia), we found some other wonderful spots, even if we’re not from there. As a result, we had the chance to capture some lovely moments with Cindy and John. Below is a snapshot of their prewedding in Chamonix
